Our Mandate

An independent, incorporated not-for-profit body operating at arm’s length from governments, the Global College of Education Specialists (GCES) is responsible for regulating the activities of Chartered Global Education Specialists who are members and who provide immigration advice for a fee. In addition, the College is responsible for ensuring the education and competency testing of its members.

The College’s mandate is to protect the consumers of Chartered Global Education Specialists services and ensure the competent and professional conduct of its members.

The Chartered Global Education Specialist (C.GES) license affirms that the specialist has successfully completed the formal education requirements and passed the C.GES Membership Exam.

It assures the consumers that the specialists are professionals equipped with the latest information on international immigration law, procedures, and practices and go about their business according to a strict, enforceable Code of Conduct.

  • You are eligible to use the C.GES designation (Chartered Global Education Specialist), which signifies to your clients that you are a certified professional well-versed in the latest information on international immigration law, procedures, and practices.
  • Your name will be posted as a Full-Member on the College's website.
  • You will receive a Membership ID card and Membership Certificate.

Are there any licensing fees?

Pay the annual GCES membership fee on January 1st of each year.

Is an English language test required?

No, an English language proficiency test is not a prerequisite to the Chartered Global Education Specialist (C. GES) Membership Exam.
